U-Hauling

U-Hauling is that thing that happens on the second date for queers, where the one person brings a U-Haul full of their stuff to the other's house and they spend their night unpacking it together. This can be literal, or more like spending the night at one person's house so much that paying rent for separate apartments is just a bad economic decision. Or that one person can't do anything without consulting their other half about their plans. Straight people do this too, they just usually wait until they're two years into the relationship.

And maybe not all queer people enjoy the act of U-Hauling, but lesbians sure do. It's almost a rite of passage, and the stereotype of the second date U-Haul does hold surprisingly often. But if a queer doesn't enjoy physically U-Hauling they love talking about it.

Gay men are known for their promiscuity, so they of course U-Haul less frequently, but they sure love to tease their lesbian friends about it. I don't know how many times I have been called a "U-Hauling Lezzie" by my queer male roommates.

So the next you see a U-Haul driving down the road, look for the two lezzies driving.

You know what lesbians love more than actually u-hauling? Talking about uhauling. Either in reference to themselves, every other lesbian that they know (aka the entire city) or saying "omg look" when you see an ACTUAL uhaul.

Im a culprit. I claimed to "uhaul" with my studio, I SAW a uhaul and called a friend today, and even went to discuss "unhauling"
